Twarx / Careers
Build the future
of practical AI
Small team, significant impact. We are researchers and engineers who believe that AI earns its place by solving real problems — and we are looking for people who share that conviction.
Culture
We think deeply, build carefully, and measure everything.
Twarx is not a fast-follower. We are not chasing benchmarks or racing to ship features. We are doing the slow, careful work of understanding domains well enough to automate them responsibly.
That means you will spend significant time reading, researching, and questioning before you write any code or train any model. We believe that is how you build AI that actually works.
Benefits
What we offer
Competitive compensation
Salary benchmarked against top-tier AI research labs, plus meaningful equity from day one.
Remote-first
Work from anywhere. We operate asynchronously by default and judge work by what it delivers, not where you sit.
Flexible hours
Results matter, not hours logged. We trust you to manage your time and protect your deep work.
Top-tier equipment
Choose your own setup. We cover hardware, software licences, and a monthly home-office budget.
Health & wellbeing
Comprehensive health coverage, a mental wellbeing stipend, and a minimum 25-day annual leave policy.
Learning budget
$3,000/year for courses, conferences, books, and research papers. We invest in your growth unconditionally.

- —Hands-on experience fine-tuning transformer models at scale
- —Strong publication record or equivalent open-source contributions
- —Experience with RLHF and instruction tuning preferred
ML Engineer — Agent Systems
Build the multi-agent orchestration systems that wrap our SLMs and integrate with client workflows. You care as much about reliability and observability as you do about capability.
- —4+ years building production ML or agent systems
- —Strong Python fundamentals and distributed systems experience
- —Experience with LangGraph, LangChain, or similar orchestration frameworks
- —Commitment to observable, auditable AI behaviour
Data Engineer — Pipeline & Infrastructure
Design and operate the data infrastructure that powers our training pipelines. You will work across ingestion, curation, labelling, and versioning at domain scale.
- —4+ years in data engineering with strong ETL fundamentals
- —Experience with large-scale data processing (Spark, Dask, or similar)
- —Familiarity with data labelling workflows and quality measurement
- —Knowledge of ML training data best practices
Technical Writer — Documentation
Turn complex AI research and system documentation into clear, trustworthy writing that helps clients and the wider research community understand what we build and why.
- —5+ years technical writing in software or research
- —Demonstrated ability to explain complex ML concepts to non-specialists
- —Experience writing API documentation and research summaries
- —Bonus: background in an applied domain (healthcare, legal, finance)
Product Designer — Research Tools
Design the internal and client-facing tools our researchers and engineers use every day — evaluation dashboards, deployment consoles, and the agent and workflow library.
